Maine Imaging is proud to announce that we will be partnering with DeLorme to produce the 2011 Maine Geographic Calendar. DeLorme will be providing the templates and tide/sun/moon data, and Dave Cleaveland will be adding his photography and taking care of distribution. This pairing came about after the Maine Geographic Calendar wasn't printed for 2010. "I was thinking of doing our own calendar," said Dave, "and when I found out that Delorme hadn't produced theirs for 2010, I went down to Yarmouth and talked to them". Apparently, there are lots of people at DeLorme who are thrilled that the calendar is coming back. "It's going to be the same spiral bound, heavy duty, calendar that Mainers have grown used to. Same size, even the same price. And as always, tides, sunrise and sunset times, and moon phases will all be in the calendar.
Dave will be taking care of the distribution of the calendars, and plans on driving the state to get the Maine Geographic Calendar back on store shelves. "I'm looking forward to traveling around Maine," he said. "It'll will give me the chance to find more of the state to photograph for the next Maine Geographic Calendar. This is the Maine calendar for Mainers."
Copies of the Maine Geographic Calendar will be available through Maine Imaging at art shows all summer, The DeLorme Map Store, numerous book stores all over the state, or you can order right here, through the website, by clicking on the "Maine Calendar" button.. Any questions can be directed to:
