Why Use Aerial Photography?
There is no better type of photograph that makes people stop and take notice. Most people don’t have the opportunity to see the world from this perspective, and if they do, it’s usually from 30,000 feet. An aerial photo takes something that you may see everyday and makes it special.
  • Gifts. An aerial photo makes a great gift for “that person who has everything”. It also makes a great “Thank You” gift for clients or customers.
  • Art. Frame an aerial image of your home, favorite place, your boat on the water, or an air to air image of your airplane. You’ll find yourself looking at it again and again.
  • Websites and Advertising. An aerial photo of your business on your website, or in an ad, gives your company a professional presence, and helps you to stand out from the competition.
  • Real Estate Sales. Whether it’s commercial or residential, nothing show a waterfront property or acreage better than an oblique aerial image. Aerial photos are an essential tool for everyone from the seller, to the buyer, to the lender, to the planner.
  • Construction Progress. A series of aerial images can track the building process from clearing the land, to laying the foundation, to the completion of the project. Construction progress packages are sold in 4 month increments, with the option to add, on a monthly basis, after the initial term. Photo flights can be every two weeks or monthly. Aerial photos provide third party documentation, which may be important should a dispute arise. Aerial photos may also be forwarded to owners, investors, lenders, architects, and engineers, as progress reports. These are high resolution images that will include a wealth of information.
  • Golf Courses. A series of Aerial images is a great way to advertise the layout of your course for perspective customers. Add these to your website and create a “virtual” golf course. Coordinate with us so that every fairway is striped for more dramatic images.
  • Events. An aerial photograph of an event, wedding, receptions, and other outdoor activities, is a great promotional tool or record of an important event. Wedding and event planners have one more tool to offer prospective clients.
What do you want to say about your property?
These aerial views of the same property show different aspects of the buildings, landscaping, and surrounding area. Let us know what is important to you and we'll provide you with the most appropriate views.
Tight:
Just the property with no distractions! The buildings and grounds, along with the access to the property.

Tight View
Mid:
The property and the immediate surroundings, including nearby houses and buildings.

Mid View
Wide:
The property and all of the surrounding areas, including water, forests, towns, roads, and skyline.

Wide View
Steep:
This angle is also called “vertical” aerial photography. We literally fly directly over your property and shoot straight down. While less aesthetically pleasing than an “oblique” aerial image, this type of photograph is better for certain uses.

Steep View

Oblique Aerial Photography
“Oblique Aerial Photography” refers to images taken from the side of the aircraft, at an angle, rather than looking straight down. This angle provides a more pleasing view of the site and includes the surrounding property. Images can be zoomed in to show just the subject property, or zoomed back, to show the surrounding land and water, out to the horizon. Developers often use horizon oblique images to show the surrounding towns and population.

Vertical Aerial Photography

Steep View, Dam Removal Project, New Hampshire
Vertical Aerial Photography refers to views looking straight down, directly over the subject property. These overhead views are used by engineers, real estate people, and project managers who need to see property layouts and road structures. These views are not meant to give a sense of height, but rather a birds eye view of the layout of a property or community and it’s neighboring areas.
Construction Progress Aerial Photography
A picture may be worth a thousand words, but to project managers and general contractors, aerial photographs might be worth a lot more.

* Include aerial images in your progress reports for owners and lenders.
* Prevent disputes with high resolution aerial images taken bi-monthly or monthly.

Taken at low altitudes with Canon professional cameras and “L Series” lenses, our progress photos clearly show the details on a construction site, and a perspective that can’t be beat. One of our customers even pointed himself out in a photo, walking through the job site!

Commercial Real Estate

Do you have a commercial property that you are trying to sell or lease? Use an aerial photograph to show the layout of the property and the proximity to major roads, communities. shopping and parking. Are you a contractor who has just finished a house for a client? It’s also a great way to say “Thanks!” when your client buys the house. Residential aerial photos are a great way to show off a property, and make a great gift for “that person who has everything”. Web Proofs
One of our most convenient features is our ability to send proofs to you by email so that you can review the images and select the ones you want. We can also load your images on line to our website for viewing. You will also have the ability to purchase additional prints from the web site. We will also save your high resolution images to a CD and mail it to you. From this CD, you’ll be able to print your own images.

"Dave from Maine Imaging was very responsive and pleasant to work with. His aerial photos of Unity College came out great. He coordinated the flight with the weather and the location of the sun to determine the optimal time for the photos. We are very pleased with the outcome and will certainly contact Maine Imaging again in the future when we are ready for our next aerial photo."
